About Jordan Devins

By nature, I am a determined and motivated individual who collaborates well with others. I have often been described as a reliable person with a positive and “can-do” attitude which resulted in being rehired for 6 consecutive summers as a seasonal worker with the City of Airdrie Parks team and 2 years as a seasonal Arena Operator. In both roles, I effectively collaborated with other employees and also completed a large portion of responsibilities independently. I managed my tasks by organizing and planning out daily and weekly schedules to ensure all assigned duties were completed accurately and adhered to expected standards. I have a natural aptitude for technology and am proficient in a variety of software including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.), AutoCAD, Unity Pro, RSLogix and ETAP, IEC-61131 programming languages. I have experience reading and designing electrical schematics and layouts, am skilled with Schneider/Modicon and Rockwell programmable logic controllers and understands industrial networks and communications protocols such as DeviceNet, DNP3 and Modbus. Over the course of my diploma program, I often acted as a tutor and translator, providing assistance to peers in understanding the course material and applications. In addition to my employment experience and education, I took the initiative to pursue a passion for aviation and invested over a hundred hours to prepare for and obtain a Private Pilot License. As I am currently seeking employment that directly relates to my education and chosen career path, I understand that I have much to learn and assure you I am up for the challenge.
