About Jordan Forward

1st degree Honours graduate in Biology. Currently working in a biotechnology company (Replimune) in producing oncolytic treatments to target cancer sites and stimulate an immune response in patients. Part of the career role within this company involves utilising skills in cell culture, plaque assays, operating with iCellis Nanos (upstream) and working with some of the downstream process. In the past, I have worked in the Oncology department at Churchill Hospital, in the Sampling Handling Lab. Operated as a Lab technician in clinical drug trials settings and processing blood samples from patients with late stage cancer. I have completed my internship for one year at the UK biocentre. Gained experience in working with highly automated machines and quad banks that process and stores dozens of samples per day (which gave me a great understanding on operating LIMs system). Worked as a mentor in supporting students through my university as well as being a student rep and a society financer. Supported a recent project and publication about a possibility of a mutation arising in the GABA receptor (mosquito developing resistance to insecticides in Laos). In order combat the rise of dengue fever in Laos.
