About Jordan Fredericks

I am a 2019 Cedarville University graduate with a BM in Music Composition and minors in Biblical Studies, Music Technology, and Theatre Arts. I have a wide background in fine arts including music and theatrical direction, acting, private instruction, and general music performance. Most recent arts credits include Cedarville's 2019 production "The Spitfire Grill"(Music Director and Rehearsal Pianist, ACTF Certificate of Merit for Music Direction), INNOVAtheatre's 2018-2021 production "Ordinary Days"(played 'Warren', OCTA State Conference Excellence in Ensemble 2018, last played at AACTFest 2021), Cedarville's 2018 production "Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery"(played 'Watson', ACTF Certificate of Merit for Ensemble Acting), and my original song cycle "The Genesis Collection" performed and recorded in 2019 as part of my Senior Recital at Cedarville. From 2020-2022, I was working as the Choir Director at Wawasee High School and Music Director for their 2021 production of "Guys and Dolls", their 2022 production of "The Little Mermaid", providing private music instruction, and drawing up ideas for my next musical song cycle project. I worked at Ball State University as a Graduate Assistant for Aural Skills and the Ball State University Singers from 2022-2024 and then was hired on as an adjunct professor for Aural Skills in 2024. I am currently teaching at Indiana Wesleyan University as their Composition Professor, working for the Community Arts Programs of Kosciusko County, and as independent music instructor and musician. My career interests include using my cultivated talent and ethic to actively inspire new musicians, creating truthfully meaningful and excellent art, and doing what I can to build God's kingdom in the world of fine arts. In creation, I desire to create music, theatre, and characters that audiences can emotionally connect with to alleviate internal struggles and create deep thought. On a stage, I desire to deliver my character's heart or the meaning of songs whether worship or theatrical to the best of my ability for the benefit of the audience and myself. Many of my projects and credits can be found on my Facebook page (Jordan Fredericks) ranging from fun videos I made for my choir during quarantine to brief (or full) snippets of performances.CV available upon request.
