About Jordan Gilbert

Jordan attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham as a member of the Honors College. She majored in Secondary Education with a concentration in English Language Arts, obtained her Alabama teacher certification, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. After student teaching and substitute teaching, Jordan decided to pivot from education into the corporate space to better utilize her skills in professional writing. Jordan excels in transforming complex information into easily digestible content as she possesses a keen eye for errors and a high priority for accuracy. Her search for a role in writing led her to McLeod Software, where she served as Documentation Specialist for the Continuous Improvement team. Her role was focused on crafting quality, user-oriented documentation to support comprehension & retention of Continuous Improvement initiatives, among other administrative duties. This role provided ample experience in technical writing at the enterprise level and served as a great introduction to the corporate world. Her involvement in the Continuous Improvement team allowed exposure to various methods of problem solving in business and allowed her to work closely with many managers, executives, and Subject Matter Experts throughout the company.
