About Jordan Hess

I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2011 with a degree in Political Science. I interned for the Rules Chairman at the Utah State Senate. I spent two years working in local politics for the Utah Republican Party and with a couple of different campaigns for federal office. I was hired in December of 2012 to work in US Senator Mike Lee's Washington, DC office. After almost 2.5 years in the Senator's personal office, I was hired as the policy advisor on the US Senate Steering Committee. I then ran US Senator Mike Lee's re-election campaign in 2016. I attained a Master's Degree In Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University where I was awarded a fellowship from the Bryce Harlow Foundation. I then worked as the Director of Coalition Relations at the Heritage Foundation, managing a team and a budget larger than a million dollars. In 2019 I was recruited back to Utah to help elect Jeff Burningham as Governor. I served as Vice President of Public Policy and Member Services at the St George Area Chamber of Commerce. I oversaw all business advocacy efforts and member relations. I currently serve as the Public Affairs Officer for Washington City, Utah. In my free time I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, politicking, being active in my church, and serving in my community.
