About Jordan Hughes

I am passionate about the transformational power of education and the role of business in bettering society and our planet. I have lived out my passion in these areas by spending the last 9 years working in social impact + change management roles for various educational institutions, including Pearson, Arizona State University and currently, Northwestern University. I am happiest at work when I am surrounded by other hardworking, passionate changemakers who are eager to use their time and skills to make the world a better place. I currently work on Northwestern’s Program Review team, which supports strategic planning efforts for university leaders with the overall goal of making Northwestern a better version of itself, each year. A lifelong learner, I seize every opportunity I can to learn and grow. I am currently an MBA candidate at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, focusing my coursework on organizational leadership and social impact/sustainability. I also hold a Masters degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Chicago has been my home for many years, and I am proud to serve on the Auxiliary Board for the Lincoln Park Zoo, one of my cherished childhood go-to’s and one of the few free cultural institutions in Chicago. Because I can’t help myself from saying “yes!” to any opportunity to meet new people, I’m also active in several professional organizations, including the Education Club, Social Impact Club, and Women's Business Association at Kellogg, as well as the Association of Northwestern University women. When I’m not at work or school, you are most likely to find me walking my dog, Murphy, with my husband James, around our neighborhood in Lakeview, or checking out a new restaurant in downtown Chicago with my family.
