About Jordan Hum

Adaptable. Tenacious. Reliable. I’m currently a Development Engineer at the Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX), serving as the Tech Lead for a software project within HTX’s in-house development unit supporting intelligence operations. I lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of operational software solutions on the government cloud, with a focus on tools that directly assist frontline officers in investigations and anti-scam efforts. My role involves shaping architecture decisions, hands-on software development, and guiding a dedicated engineering team through agile delivery cycles. The systems we build have real-world impact—empowering enforcement units with reliable, secure, and user-focused applications. Before HTX, I spent 5 years as a Senior Project Engineer at DSO National Laboratories, Singapore’s largest defense R&D organization. I started out in software simulation and rose quickly to lead large-scale testing and simulation initiatives. During this time, I strengthened my technical foundations in C/C++ and earned my PMP certification to better manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects. A highlight from my DSO years was building a "digital twin" of a facility—an effort that pushed me beyond modeling and into system-level thinking, including integrating hardware components. In 2022, I was honored to receive DSO’s Special Recognition Award for my persistent, can-do mindset. Across all roles, one thing has remained constant: my commitment to doing meaningful work and always striving to improve. I love what I do—but I’m also open to conversations about new challenges and opportunities to grow. If you think I might be a good fit for your team, let’s connect.
