About Jordan Proch

As an IT Procurement Specialist at the University of Idaho, I manage over $4.5 million in annual hardware and software acquisitions, working directly with industry leaders such as Lenovo, Dell, CDW-G, B&H, and Apple. In this role, I bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and the technology required to support it—collaborating with researchers, IT security teams, developers, and senior leadership to deliver impactful, strategic solutions. I recently led the successful unification of the university’s IT Hardware and Software Procurement workflows—a transformative initiative that redefined how the entire institution engages with IT purchasing. As project manager, I developed the charter, coordinated cross-functional teams, and oversaw implementation, communication, and stakeholder alignment. Beyond procurement, I contribute to university-wide initiatives, including UI/UX research for IT service design and the planning of campus-wide events such as the Office of Information Technology’s annual conference and the Vandal Gaming Convention. In these efforts, I focus on creative engagement, community-building, and service-centered design. I hold a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification and am currently pursuing an M.S. in Technology Management. My background also includes experience in L2 help desk support and application deployment, with a foundation in mathematics and statistics from Columbia College and the University of California, Riverside. I am passionate about using technology to improve processes, build relationships, and support mission-driven institutions.
