I am a highly experienced content creator and curriculum developer with 22 years of experience in the field. My passion for visual storytelling and creative vision have helped me excel in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, where I have honed my skills in synthesizing information and collaborating on new ideas. As an art educator and Department Chair for Visual and Performing Arts at a local high school, I have been able to merge my expertise in art education and production in the fine arts and photography with my responsibilities in managing a team of teachers, collaborating with administrators and mentoring new ones. Additionally, I run my own business that specializes in art education, art production and commercial photography. I constantly seek learning to deepen my understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity in my current role. I have designed tiered learning systems for all areas of arts and CTE curriculum, including Photography, Painting, Drawing, Animation, Art History, and Commercial Art and Marketing. I am an experienced photographer, painter and designer. I am experienced in surface pattern design, illustration, traditional hands-on art techniques like painting, printmaking, sculpture and art history. I am well-versed in the use of various software programs, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, and have a strong understanding of art and photo licensing, rights, working with artists and photographers, event planning and project management. My commitment to a positive lifestyle and passion for helping others through art sets me apart from others in my field. I am confident in my abilities to lead, speak publicly, manage and plan events, and teach both in-person and on camera, as well as comfortable with online learning platforms such as Zoom and Teams. I lead corporate creativity retreats and teach creativity workshops for various organizations. I continue to learn, share, and grow through creating every single day.
