About Jordan Trieu

Hi, I’m Jordan. Thank you for being here! I am a dedicated fourth-year Psychology student at the University of Victoria, specializing in Indigenous health and diversity psychology. With a strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) advocacy, I am passionate about applying culturally competent practices to drive organizational success and foster inclusive environments. My academic background and hands-on experience have enabled me to strategically address EDI challenges, using cultural insights to improve team collaboration and outcomes. In previous roles at Lagree West and Lululemon, I developed key skills in customer service, leadership, and operations management within fast-paced environments. These experiences sharpened my ability to lead teams, optimize processes, and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike. My recent involvement in the Victoria Native Friendship Centre’s Community Learning Program has deepened my understanding of Indigenous-led education and provided me with practical tools to create cultural safety for Indigenous peoples. I also volunteered with their Community Soup Luncheon, where I gained experience in culturally responsive service delivery, fostering connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds. ‍I bring a detail-oriented, collaborative approach to all projects, with proficiency in advanced systems such as Microsoft 365, MINDBODY, Mariana Tek and Google Products. My strengths lie in interpersonal communication, strategic thinking, and relationship building, and I am eager to leverage these skills to contribute to organizational growth and positive social impact. When I’m not working or studying, you can usually find me spending time with my family and friends, enjoying a walk, reading a good book, listening to a podcast, working out, or discovering a new coffee shop.
