About Jordan Walker

I am a event management major at Auburn University. For the majority of my life, I lived in Huntsville AL, where I was surrounded by engineers and math-minded individuals. Both could not be farther from me. Growing up in a STEM city was hard especially when you aren't a left-brained student. I grew up playing sports and mostly divulging into physical hobbies. I played soccer from ages 5 to 18, it contributed a lot to the person I am today. I have a competitive nature and high determination, so sports have always come naturally to me. I quickly found out in my younger years that I was good at persuading people into doing certain tasks. My mother would always tell me that I would make a great saleswoman/businesswoman someday. Therefore, when I came to college I knew what major I had to pick: Business. Since arriving at college my love for physical hobbies has only grown. I am now obsessed with weight lifting. Weight lifting as a female these days inspired me to get my personal training certification and take my knowledge to the next level. I have loved being able to share my knowledge with others ever since. Getting my certification also inspired me to start my own fitness Instagram account. Since I am a marketing major this account was my chance to test my skills and to see If I would love marketing. I can confidently say that this account has only furthered my interest in marketing and social media influence. I hope to one day have a job where I am able to use my marketing skills on social media and be able to stay in the fitness industry. I love working with people and I also love being able to work for myself.
