About Jordi Scope

Ultimately, I want to be an ambassador for change, embracing my core strengths and beliefs and utilising them in the business and accounting world. In turn, leaving behind a legacy of organisation, innovation and transformation in business. This is my mission and one I continuously strive to achieve daily. I am currently a Management Accountant within the Budgeting & Strategic Accounting team in Local Government with tertiary qualifications in Business & Commerce with a focus on Accounting, Business Law and Finance & Banking. I have a genuine desire to learn and become an expert in the business field. I am currently working towards a Master of Business and Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) accreditation as well as becoming a registered Tax Agent with the TPB. I provide technical support to Council’s Fees and Charges Schedule development, Capital and Operational Budget and Capital Grants processes and functions. Assist with various budgeting and strategic accounting functions of Council, taking the lead role in delivery of quality, efficient and effective financial services relating to Council’s complete budgeting process. In addition, I provide technical support with budgeting processes and other financial projects as required. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I was selected by the university to become a PASS Leader for ACC1101 - Accounting for Decision Making and FIN1101 - Introduction to Corporate Finance - both core business courses. This involved liaising with the academic team and facilitating online interactive study sessions for students. My past experience includes 2 years as an Assistant Accountant, almost 2 years as an Assistant Manager in the FCMG industry and 4 years at McDonald's in roles of Crew Person, Crew Trainer & Production Manager. My 6 years of frontline hospitality experience is my base for a current and relevant understanding of business. I am a strong team player and leader as well as a role model for colleagues, endeavouring to maximize business growth and meet operational goals. Using past business foundation skills in my current role, I am able to assist assist multiple business units from a financial perspective with confidence and professionalism.
