About Jordon Dyer

As a 5th generation Santa Barbarian, Jordy is deeply rooted within the local community. Jordy's passion for beach volleyball began while spending several of his childhood Summers down at East Beach learning how to play at the famous Jon Lee’s Beach Volleyball Camp. After graduating Dos Pueblos High School, Jordy went on to be a member of the USA Men’s Youth Beach Volleyball National Team (2009-2013), competed in the U19 Youth World Championships (Turkey, 2019), and graduated from Long Beach State in 2015. During his time developing as a player in the USA pipeline, Jordy was fortunate enough to have worked with, and been mentored by, many of the best coaching minds in the country. When he isn't running beach volleyball activities, he trains and competes with aspirations to qualify for the professional tour. Jordy has experience coaching at the highest youth, collegiate and professional level. His collegiate coaching career began as the Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Long Beach State Women’s Beach Volleyball Team. In his first year, Jordy helped lead Long Beach State to the Division 1 National Collegiate Championships, finishing 2nd in the nation (2015). In year two at Long Beach State, Jordy helped the team achieve a top-ten finish. After Long Beach, Jordy was hired as the Assistant Coach for Stetson University and helped lead them to 2 conference championships and top 10 national rankings. Jordy was apart of the biggest upset in NCAA Beach Volleyball playoff history where #8 Stetson beat #1 ranked USC at the National Championships (2019). Jordy has also spent brief stints coaching several AVP players throughout the years. Jordy coaches off and on for the USA Youth High Performance Beach Program when time permits. Jordy founded 805 Beach shortly after he returned to Santa Barbara in 2019. The East Beach community and the game of beach volleyball have given so much to Jordy throughout his life. Jordy now aims to share these gifts and experiences with the local community and help grow this beautiful game. Jordy’s mission is to grow the game by introducing beach volleyball to the local youth while also helping develop them into the best versions of themselves in a safe and healthy atmosphere. He also aims to provide special experiences for the local adult community in a fun and social way. Let’s connect the community down at the beach! Alongside Ari, Jordy runs 805 Beach's Youth Summer Camps, Youth After-School Clinics, Youth Competitive Club, Youth Holiday Camps, Adult League, as well as Adult Classes.
