Background
About Jordon Worley
Since I began working at age 15, I have a wide range of skills and experience. I've worked with people ranging from toddlers to senior adults, in areas ranging from education to food service and assisted living communities. I have a firm belief that there's nothing I cannot learn how to do. I am known for being self-motivated, having attention to detail, multitasking, and seeing projects through to completion. At 16, I volunteered at an assisted living community and was unexpectedly offered a job on the first day. My professionalism at such a young age allowed me to work my way up to being the Activity Director. Most teenagers would flee at the thought of changing Depends or washing residents, but I personally took great joy in making sure the senior citizens were taken care of with great respect. Later on, while working at Sonny's, I was constantly looking for things that needed to be done to help out other staff members (refilling the ice, making more tea, etc.). As a pharmacy technician, I was responsible and trustworthy, and therefore asked to add being an office assistant to my daily duties. Currently, I am a school librarian that wears multiple hats. I was asked to take on the yearbook because I pay attention to small details and was trusted to do a great job. I am constantly doing 3-4 tasks at once. After all these years, I have come to realize two things about myself: I love to stay busy and get things done, and I love to take care of others! My most notable accomplishment is earning Teacher of the Year for my school in only my second year of teaching. That alone speaks volumes of my work ethic and how much I was able to impact staff and students at my school. Other accomplishments are personal ones in which I grew as a leader by being a presenter at both state and local conferences (KySTE - 1 time, KASL - 2 times). No matter what role I'm in, I always exceed expectations and am a valuable asset to any team.
