About Jordyn Jackson

I am deeply motivated by a commitment to improve the world around me, driven by my experiences volunteering with club basketball teams, gaining clinical experience, and serving in ministry at my local church. My own struggles with multiple knee injuries during high school basketball have shaped my perspective. Despite the severity of my injuries, I received little support or guidance from my school in terms of recovery. This lack of attention to injured student-athletes is inhumane. It’s clear to me that more needs to be done to support athletes when they are most vulnerable—when they can no longer perform. My personal experiences have fueled my aspiration to become an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine. My passion for both sports and helping others drives me to one day give back to the community by providing the care and attention that athletes often lack, especially when they feel sidelined and forgotten during their recovery.
