About Jorge Arias

Howdy Folks!(in the voice of the prospector from Thunder mountain railroad at Walt Disney World) my name is Jorge Arias. I am currently employed and have been with the same company for over 19 years in the healthcare IT industry. As you can imagine when I started at my current employer having a BA made up about half of the professional work force. Now almost 90% have BA's and about 50% have masters. So I have embarked on an odyssey to complete my B.A. at FIU. I told my eldest daughter who is a sophomore at St. John's University that she will not beat me! I don't know why but since I started FIU professors tend to ask Oprah like questions, for example;"what will I be doing in five years"​. To be frank, I don't really know. I can tell you that based on my bank account and current lack of luck with the lotto I will definitely be working! I would like to continue to grow at work; I am currently a Director and would like to move up the ladder. I definitely would like to travel more often especially since my daughters are much older now.With regards to hobbies, I have many. I love Sports cars and anything related to car racing but I also do enjoy outdoor sports such as Kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, sailing, tennis, etc.
