18 year experience in thermoelectric power plant operations as an auxiliary operator working rotation shifts and overtime. During the aftermath of Hurricane Maria and the destruction of the electrical grid i voluntarily took the role of an un official spokesperson for the utility. Considering the ramifications of the then policy of no communication i took it upon myself the burden of informing the public of the recovery process. Got praised by my actions by local and international press as well as the agency and the government for doing an unprecedented work that helped the whole island in a time of ultimate crisis. Ive kept doing this work for the last 5 years still in an un official capacity even though i was offered twice to do it in an official public capacity by the last two governors. Currently using my skills, knowledge and experience to keep educating the public on Puerto Rico’s energy related topics and challenges.
