Prior work done by the principal investigator falls within the framework of a doctoral research done as part of a European research project titled EURO-CAT-CSCL (FP7-PEOPLE-2007-3-1-IAPP -218306) carried out between October 2008 and October 2012 with the participation of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the Universitat Ramon Llull (URL), the Université de Toulouse Le Mirail (UTM), the London South Bank University (LSBU), and the multimedia development company Ouak.net, whose purpose was to provide continuity to the results obtained from that research. In general, it may be stated that the results provided us with greater precision on the kind of information required by the students in a collaboration process and on how that information must be organized to allow the different participants to evaluate the activity of their peers from visualization tools. Furthermore, at present I am a researcher within the framework of MECESUP of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, a research whose objective is to determine the impact of the training programs given by the University to its professors through the Vicerrectoría Académica. In this context, during 2012 the diploma program in research and innovation in college teaching began. This program was designed with the purpose of facilitating, among other elements, virtual tools to the teachers in order to increase the use of these learning settings in the undergraduate careers. The diploma program has provided an instruction process especially designed to make use of b-learning spaces with the purpose of facilitating the transfer of those practices to the classroom.
