Currently working as the Systems Accountant for the United States Mint at West Point. Bachelors of Professional Studies, major in Technical management with a concentration in Accounting. At the U.S. Mint I am responsible for maintain automated accounting systems, formulate reports and prepares cost accounting reports for the site and headquarters. Also for for inventory control and accountability of coinage metal i.e. blanks, coins, rejects, etc. Maintain records of shipments of coinage metal to and from on-site and off-site facilities. Verify deliveries for certification of invoices and packing lists for payment to manufacturer and transportation companies. Resolve discrepancies and takes corrective actions as appropriate. I also ensure that coinage inventory levels are adequate to meet production requirements. Maintain a double entry accounting system to record transactions in the daily ledgers. Record the receipt and shipment of new coins. Maintain log of vault inventories. Uses agency approved automated inventory system modules and panels to enter and track inventory data.
