About Jorge Orjuela

A business leader with a track record in evolving operating models and commercial offerings by leveraging data, automation and intelligence to build competitive advantage, I deliver top and bottom line growth in the energy sector. Ongoing changes in regulation, consumer behaviour and technology require businesses to radically transform the way they operate and interact with the market. This is especially true in the energy sector where disruption has meant that the new generation of energy companies need to be different. In senior leadership roles with Energy Action, EnergyAdvice and CitiPower/Powercor Australia, I have identified opportunities to automate processes, reduce costs and redirect resources into value-add business activities. This commitment to excellence also drives my approach to client project delivery and in recent years, I have established and overseen programs of work that have underpinned award winning work. More recently, I have facilitated the creation of Energy Action’s Microgrids and Embedded Networks business with notable achievements including the delivery of a pioneering white label billing solution that has enabled a challenger brand to fulfil a large government contract through use of automation and technology. When it comes to the needs of the market, I listen better than most. My intention is not to ‘make waves’ but rather identify and address customer pain points with effective solutions. I bring top talent together and invest time in the design and planning stages of any new solution/service development.
