About Jorge Vargas

Over the course of my career, I have actively watched and participated in the massive transformation of IT (Information Technology). I don't just find this constant evolution fascinating; it's what motivates me to always be on the cutting edge. A perfect illustration of how technology is disrupting traditional industries is right here in our Los Lagos region, specifically with salmon farming and the integration of ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles). I am profoundly dedicated to lifelong and continuous learning. While the rate of change is relentless, I’m always prepared to pick up new knowledge and skills to advance my career. I’ve personally witnessed ROVs evolve from a new concept into an essential tool for monitoring cages, inspecting nets, and checking on fish health. They have drastically improved worker safety, boosted operational efficiency, and supported environmental sustainability. This shows exactly how technological innovation can reshape a major industry. My main focus now is to find a permanent role in a company where I can make a real difference and fully utilize my vision and drive in this rapidly expanding area. I want to make a concrete impact, add value, and help lead projects that drive the organization’s success, much like how IT and examples such as ROVs in aquaculture are currently boosting growth and efficiency across numerous fields
