About Jori Riske

Jori Riske, LCSW has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. She began her practice in a therapeutic day school, followed by providing therapeutic services to clients and their families in the Outpatient Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. For over15 years, Jori has maintained a thriving private practice in the northern suburbs providing services to children, adolescents, adults and families. Jori actively collaborates with local schools and other members of the community. She has facilitated parent education groups and been a presenter on various topics at both schools and community agencies. Most recently, Jori became trained in EMDR. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a treatment designed to reduce psychological symptoms associated with traumatic events. While EMDR therapy was originally designed to treat PTSD, it is now often used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders and depression, with children, adolescents and adults.Specialties: Jori provides individual and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in working with mood and anxiety disorders, parenting issues, and working with clients who are having diffiuclty adjusting to life changes/stressors.
