About Jose I del Risco
I decided to be in the medical field since I can remember. I can say, my parents inspired me to be what I am today. My mother was an ophthalmologist and my father is an angiologist and vascular surgeon. I wanted to become a nurse since I graduated from high school in Cuba, and after graduating a pursued medicine and graduated with a medical doctor degree in 1998. After coming to the US, nursing was the best option for me to continue within the medical field, and doing what I know and love best. Currently I work with a Home Health Agency as director of nursing and field IV nurse for Optum pharmacy. I am currently enrolled in the MSN program at Florida National University.
