About Jose Pareja

Jose R. Pareja started JP Architects, Ltd. on Labor Day in 2015. Since that day, Jose’s focus has been on building JP Architects into a multi-vertical, established full-service architectural firm – specializing in residential design, commercial architecture and public planning projects. Jose is a versatile and motivated leader, who’s experienced with every aspect of architecture and construction processes. He connects and communicates with employees, clients, prospects and those involved throughout each project with ease. Jose’s leadership style can be characterized as flexible, effective and practical – meaning he adjusts his approach for each specific individual and their needs. Jose believes that in order to achieve the best outcome you must listen first and employ an action plan second – a strategy he utilizes with client / prospect interactions and internal business operations at JP Architects, Ltd. Jose is currently President of the American Institute of Architects Eastern Illinois Chapter. He also holds leadership positions on the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association Scholarship Committee, Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce Board and Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force. Jose is an advocate for diversity - evidenced by his commitment to building a diverse office culture, assembling BEP-compliant project teams and supporting women employment and leadership. Jose also believes in work/life balance and developed a culture at JP Architects, Ltd. allows employees to be present for life events. Jose recently completed the Goldman Sachs Small Businesses Program and Small Business Administration Emerging Leaders Program. This provided Jose with additional insight and knowledge to continue the growth of JP Architects, Ltd. Since 2015, JP Architects, Ltd. has experienced year-over-year growth, and with the additional knowledge form these continued education efforts, Jose is ready to lead the firm into the future.
