About Jose Suarez

As a Mechanical Engineering student with a passion for Energy and Sustainability, I am dedicated to solving problems through collaborative research and development. I have gained hands-on experience with CAD softwares such as SolidWorks, Onshape, and Autodesk Inventor to produce components for both professional and personal projects. My time with Syzygy Plasmonics gave me a strong foundation in product development through rapid prototyping and applying Design for Manufacturing principles. I worked on hardware that supported novel photocatalytic reactors designed to decarbonize chemical production, which gave me valuable exposure to energy transition, reliability challenges, and real-world design work. More importantly, the experience pushed me to grow as an engineer by learning how to think critically about design and collaborate effectively with a team to solve problems. For Summer 2025, I’ll be joining Linde Engineering as a Plant Design Engineering Intern, where I’m excited to learn more about process plants and system level engineering. As I continue developing as an engineer, I’m looking for opportunities where I can contribute to projects that make an impact and challenge me to keep learning and improving.
