About Joselyn Combs

I am currently a team member at Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill, and this is my first job. During my time here, I have learned a lot about costumer service and how to put guests needs first. By learning how to accommodate to guests' needs, I have acquired a great sense of problem solving and communication skills. The restaurant industry has additionally taught me a great deal on the essentiality of working as a team. When new members join our staff, there are times when I have to teach him or her certain techniques to ensure that we are being as efficient with our time as possible. After my time at Wood Ranch, I am very excited to venture into the world of Early Childhood Education. Besides having a love for children and a passion for helping future generations succeed, I have noticed that a lot of the skills necessary for teaching, has been taught to me through the restaurant industry. Being able to take the skills I have learned at my first job, and carry them to my future career, will serve to be incredibly beneficial to me and my future students.As stated above, skills that I have acquired include: costumer service, social skills, problem solving, verbal communication, teamwork, teaching, and time management. I am very eager to enhance and increase my set of skills as I continue working!
