Have you ever woken up and thought, “I was meant for something bigger and better?” That was me at 23, having completed a B.S. and B.A. in undergrad, graduating with $40K in debt, horrible credit and at a time when the economy was “in the dumps.” I took a job as a carpenter’s apprentice and within 9 months I knew if I didn’t take a LEAP of faith, I was destined for a dark path. So, I packed up my car in the middle of a blizzard (in Boston) and headed out with my 2-year-old pup for sunny North Carolina for a GREAT job I had lined up. Selling hotdogs.(Momma, I made it!) I didn’t care…before I left Boston, I made a promise to myself and to my family. No matter where I go from this day forward, I’m going to always SHOW UP. And show up with a great attitude. That job landed me a starting job in telecom, where I grew from a field installer to a Project Manager with a big telecom company and in under 18 months was fully PMP certified. 4 years in I realized something…I was working to build someone else’s future. What would happen if I took that same passion, energy, talent and put it towards something I could call my own and build a legacy for myself and my family? That’s what lead me to leave my “high paying” comfort zone and take the next LEAP. Which is what lead me to my current journey of building e-commerce brands and consulting for companies. I currently consult as a Director of Business Development for Iconic Imprint where we aim to strategically partner with brands and manufacturers to offer a production and fulfillment scaling arm to their design and customization needs.
