The Company’s Energy Management 5-year Business Plan calls for every division to have an Energy Maintenance Program in place. The plan should include the creation of formal Energy Maintenance Teams and a schedule of planned store visits. II.Energy Engineer •Each Division Facility Engineering Department should designate one member to serve in a full-time capacity as the Division’s “Energy Engineer.” The Energy Engineer’s responsibilities include: •Implement and/or maintain an effective energy maintenance program by insuring that energy maintenance teams are inspecting and adjusting refrigeration, HVAC and Time of Day controls for maximum efficiency and minimum operating costs without compromising food or associated safety. •Utilize influence and training to spread energy maintenance concepts to all mechanics with a focus on finding and resolving problems instead of treating symptoms. •Track energy consumption graphs and review with individual store mechanic, lead or senior mechanic, store and zone management and Energy Maintenance Teams to resolve problem trends. •If necessary adjust the “Division Energy Maintenance Plan” to improve execution, compliance and results. Then implement the changes and repeat the management process, which is plan-implement-follow up-adjust. •Participate as a partner with G.O.F.E. and peer Energy Engineers in the continued development of Energy Maintenance for the enterprise.
