Hello, my name is Joseph Blue my educational background is a BA in Communication Studies obtain at California State University, Northridge and a M. ED in College Counseling and Student Affairs from Southern Arkansas University a CACREP accredited program. Also, currently I work under the student affairs division with athletics as a Track and Field Coach at Cal Poly Pomona. Also, I am a Co-founder of an Educational/ Life Mentoring Non-Profit for At-Risk Minority Communities which was inspired from my upbringing in Bakersfield where I realize the resources and, experience of opportunities in my community were limit to my environment. My educational background and 10 years of experience working as coach, teacher, and counselor has prepared me to be an quality candidate for education advisor in your department. Currently I work with a group of 20 students to manage their online learning, resolve financial aid issues, teach, plan education goals, and strategies to promote a successful college experience. I have dedicated my life to helping others and it is truly my passion to teach and provide guidance to students. I bring a unique and diverse experience to my profession having overcame some many obstacles growing up extremely poor in single parent household. I use my struggles to help fuel me and help others grow that come from many different backgrounds. Diversity is area of competence that I have worked to grow over my career to experience and understand. I learned there are many ways to learning and it’s great to give students flexibility in the experience of learning to accommodate to their needs. Everyone has a story and every person has potential to do great things and, what I love to do is help other exceed their potential and become ready to seize the opportunity that was destine for them to fulfill
