About Joseph Bragg

I love giving new life to old things. Perpetuating the life of analytical instruments is the soul of GenTech Scientific. This is why we're a match! Since I was a kid I've been picking "garbage" up on the side of the road and finding a new purpose for it. I can remember tearing apart old electronics, furniture, or whatever I could get my hands on that looked like it's parts could find a new use. I made sculptures, hobby electronics, or gifts just for the principle of recycling. Today, I still do those things but with a little more functionality in mind - I like repurposing old art pieces or using scrap for home improvements. Once I realized that same spirit is what drives GenTech I was hooked. During my 5th year studying electrical engineering design I was the project co-manager for a multidisciplinary senior design team. Our dream was to design and manufacture a 3D concrete printer. This role sparked my interest in supporting a team to achieve their goals. When the opportunity to be a Process Improvement Leader came I was grateful for it. Yet, it took a while for me to see that I was a great fit for the job. The engineering mindset I gained at school is necessary for understanding processes and the ol' scrapper in me knows all about continuous improvement. Every day I get to help my co-workers solve problems and work with a focus on growth. I'm proud to work for a pioneer in the refurbished instruments industry!
