About Joseph Bryant

My career in the judicial system began in Florida in the year For a little more than four years, I worked with the Highlands County Clerk of Court located in Sebring. While there, most of my experience was in the traffic department. My duties covered a variety of court calendars including: First Appearance, Arraignment, Pre-Trial, Jury Selection, and Bench Trials. I was also privileged to help with the Misdemeanor, Felony, and Juvenile departments, as well. Overall, I gained a tremendous amount of experience with how the court system functions. In 2004, after moving back to Georgia, I began working for the City of Duluth Municipal Court. Over the years, I was tasked with a number of various responsibilities. Those ranged from taking payments, running criminal histories, sitting the bench, and processing suspensions. In 2008, I was placed in charge of the FTA, COC, and VOP warrants. This included tolling orders and the occasional warrant amnesty program. In early 2017, I was promoted to Lead Court Assistant. This supervisory role placed me in charge of the payment window and cashier position. In July of 2019, after nearly 15 years with Duluth, I resigned and began working with the City of Monroe. In this new position, my focus was on completing a number of projects to improve the quality, efficiency, and professionalism of the Court Department. In early October of 2020, I was promoted to Court Administrator. Since being in this position, I have made several procedural changes, improved the efficiency of the court process, and helped rebuild public relations with local attorney offices. Additionally, I have been an instructor for with an average rating of 4.7/5.
