About Joseph Chapo

Pleased to meet you all! I've been working in the field of video for about six years now, and I'm grateful for the many opportunities I've had to learn and make a living doing what I love. I have experience working with Canon (XA10), Sony (XDCAM), and JVC (the GY-HM series) video hardware; in terms of software, I've chiefly used Avid and the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Audition, After Effects, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Encore, Dreamweaver) but I have experience with 3Ds Max, Final Cut Pro 7, QuarkXPress, and MGI PhotoSuite as well. I'm always looking to broaden my horizons as a creator and storyteller. My goal in the short term is to find any kind of work locally (preferably full-time) where I can grow and sharpen my media-production skill set; I hope someday to work in the film industry as a writer, director and editor. In addition, I've recently begun a new venture as a freelance proofreader. Having loved to read and write all my life, I've been thrilled to learn of all the opportunities out there to put my eyes for detail to good use. Though I'm still in the process of establishing myself, I'm eagerly looking forward to working with authors from all different backgrounds and broadening my own perspective.
