About Joseph Corrado

I have a blessed career raising over for 33 non-for-profit agencies. My career began with Boys in Girls Clubs of Chicago. Influenced as a member of a local Boys Club where I eventually joined the staff. Started as a Gang Intervention Worker in Public Housing worked my way up into management positions over my rewarding 18-year Boys and Girls Club career including being the Director of clubs in Lathrop, Cabrini and ABLA Homes Public Housing communities. I was able to consult for the Boys and Girls Clubs later in my career including Kalamazoo, Benton Harbor and Battle Creek in Michigan as well as North Little Rock in Arkansas. After my BGC career I became the Executive Director with a 100-year-old City-Wide Christian based social service agency that began as a Settlement House on the near north side of Chicago over a span of eight years where I provided strategic direction fund raising supervision and leadership. Then advanced my fundraising career and became a Capital Campaign Consultant with the oldest National Fund-Raising Company in United States specializing in Capital Campaign, Endowment and major gift development. I served as a full time Resident Senior Consultant. All my assigned Campaign Clients exceeded their goals in Illinois Arkansas and Michigan. I left the company to start my own independent consulting firm JJC Consultants where I provided agency infrastructure development, as well as strategic & feasibility support, developed campaign committees, plans and implemented annual and capital campaigns, provided interim executive support, board management support to non-profit organizations in Illinois and Michigan. I have served my last 16 years in the position of Major Gifts Officer spanning over two great non-profit agencies. Now with American Red Cross where I establish and implement various approaches to secure major gifts to support for mission's programs.
