About Joseph Donovan

For the past 2.5 years, I have taking on the challenge of learning all I can in the regulatory reporting world starting with NPORT and NCEN filings. I have learned how to read SEC requirements to ensure my clients are following the standard formats and filing requirements as specified in the schema documents and SEC guidelines on the respective forms. I have gained a lot of experience reading and understanding NCSR filings as well since we need to reconcile certain aspects to Form NCEN. Prior to that, I have worked in the fund accounting and custody administrative services industry for 17 years. I have serviced standard 40 act mutual funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, endowment funds, and ETF funds. Through this experience, I have learned best practices for accounting standards and how to adapt to the constantly changing banking regulations while maintaining the highest quality of service for my clients. I have been been responsible for years of internal and external audit cycles and have developed relationships with all the major audit firms while learning to read and analyze financial statements to show how they tie back to our book of record. My strongest abilities relate to servicing my clients needs by finding solutions in our online reporting tools or through collaboration with my internal service teams. I am able to provide excellent client service through years of experience and training within my organization while becoming familiar with the products I service.
