About Joseph Duke

I am a Physician Assistant with over two years of experience in Urology seeking to provide high quality, detail oriented care. I hope to join a team that emphasizes communication and teamwork to ensure patients’ needs are met. I am currently relocating to Jackson, TN. I graduated High Point University's Physician Assistant Program in August of 2022. I have obtained certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and licensure through the Tennessee Health Department and North Carolina Medical Board. My education included clinical rotations in the following areas: family medicine, inpatient medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and elective rotations in urology and cardiology. Following my graduation, I worked as a Physician Assistant at Novant Health Davidson Urology between January of 2023 and May of 2025. This role saw me evaluating patients' acute and chronic urologic conditions in an outpatient setting. I also participated in consults in the inpatient setting, along with evaluation of post operative cases and discharges. I highly value my time spent at this position, as it allowed me to build up my skills as an APP - both in terms of history, physical examination, documentation, and procedures; but also in terms of communication between other providers and clinical staff within the clinic and inter-professionally with other specialties. In addition to my work as a physician assistant, I have around 2 years of direct patient care experience from my employment as an NHA certified phlebotomist at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center. Prior to my journey into health care, I obtained my Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky. I have 4 years of research laboratory experience and 3 years of teaching experience from my time as a graduate and undergraduate student in chemistry.
