About Joseph E. Anderson

Joe Anderson Jr. is Chief Financial Officer at Griffin Living, a privately held company that develops and operates senior living communities. Based in Calabasas, California, Joe is responsible for managing all of Griffin Living’s financial planning and actions. A certified public accountant, Joe has a long career centered on the real estate industry, including, overseeing financial, operational and managerial reporting; orchestrating mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; and creating and implementing strategies for real estate development projects. He is known throughout the industry for developing sophisticated tax strategies and highly effective cost reporting and tracking systems. Formerly, Joe worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. and served as Controller and Chief Financial Officer at Christina Companies, Inc, a publicly traded Southern California homebuilder. Joe is a longtime supporter of the Boys and Girls Club of the West Valley in Canoga Park, California, and has served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the West Hills Hospital in West Hills, California. Joe holds a degree in accounting from University of Notre Dame‘s Mendoza College of Business.
