About Joseph Evans

I am a passionate Computer Engineering student in the NC State C3 program with a focus on robotics and software development. Currently, I am a Software Engineering Intern at BotBuilt, where I work on a team developing software to digitize construction plans, primarily using Python. This role has allowed me to grow my technical skills and collaborate closely with engineers in a fast-paced startup environment. My passion for robotics began through eight years of involvement in FIRST Robotics (FLL, FTC, and FRC). Serving as the Programming Lead and Operations Captain in FRC, I developed skills in Java-based robotics programming, as well as hardware and electrical systems. These leadership experiences honed my ability to manage teams, solve complex technical problems, and drive projects to completion. In addition to my academic and professional pursuits, I am working on personal projects like developing a brushless motor driver robotic actuator system. I am deeply committed to innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, with long-term aspirations to advance in robotics software development and entrepreneurship.
