About Joseph Gerdeman

Joseph Gerdeman, Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core, CCNA, CompTIA Security+, active TS/SCI clearance. Discovered my passion for IT after enlisting in the United States Marine Corps as a Network Administrator. I have managed and built networks in many countries including the United States, Iraq, Kuwait, and Japan. Upon leaving the military, I was hired as the sole Network Administrator at Pacific Defense in the middle of a company merger (trial by fire!). During my time at Pacific Defense, I have been solely responsible for the network infrastructure of 7 separate offices across the United States, 2 of which I had the pleasure of building from the ground up! I am the type of person who gets their hands on everything! Currently, I manage the vast majority of Linux servers in our environment, which also happens to be the majority of our infrastructure. Whether you need a slow network fixed, your mundane tasks automated, your DevOps applications stood up, a new proxy server set up, or some GPOs deployed, I am your guy! I have been an avid rock climber for 10 years. Outside of work, you will find me enjoying one of the Pacific Northwest’s wonderful crags!
