About Joseph Gitau

Am a graduate of philosophy from St. Bonaventure University College, affiliated to Anthonianum University of Rome. I have also enrolled for Masters Degree at University of Nairobi, where am pursuing Project planning and management. Am currently a programs coordinator at YMCA Kenya. I have worked in customer management department at Safaricom limited, as a customer care executive in a busy call centre for tenure of five years. My duties included but not limited to: 1st line support to customer queries via phone, email, Social media and one on one interaction. 2nd line support volunteering to assist customers' issues escalated by 1st line agent. I also worked as an Mpesa Support Staff whereby I was assisting Mpesa dealers and agents with their dealership issues, which called for accuracy, confidentiality and integrity. Retail sales of company’s products and services with key daily targets, which i comfortably achieved. I also worked as a realtime coordinator with the workforce team. Here I was responsible for assisting in planning /scheduling Employees Shifts allotment, doing attendance reports and giving hourly performance reports of the entire call centre to the relevant teams. I have also worked with Zhongmei Engineering Group as a Project Officer. Here I was working in an informal settlement-upgrading project. My duties included but not limited to daily overseeing of project flow as per the work schedule given to the contractor. Attending meetings with community leaders, to iron out any issues arising. This included dispute resolution and enforcing passed guidelines for the success of the project. I am an open minded person who is able to perform duties and roles assigned to me with diligence and perfection. I take challenges positively and aim to tackle them with professionalism.
