About Joseph Grisso

Former President John F. Kennedy once advised not to "pray for easier lives, pray to be stronger men." Perseverance has been my main core value throughout my life, as I've gone from challenge to challenge, meeting each one head on with enthusiasm and vigor. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to Colorado just before 7th grade in 2008. After struggling academically in middle school, I earned a 4.4 GPA throughout high school to graduate as valedictorian. Despite being cut from my school's baseball team as a sophomore, I was offered the position of team manager and we made it all the way to the state title game. I later played football as a senior, serving as team captain during my first and only season. And when my father passed away after a battle with cancer in 2012, I continued to excel academically and ultimately matriculated at the University of Colorado, where I wound up earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics, along with a double minor in Business Entrepreneurship and Mathematics, with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude.My professional career follows a similar path. Despite having little luck at first when I began working in 2013, I eventually latched on to a minimum wage convenience store job near my house, which allowed me to learn valuable lessons related to customer service and cash handling, along with the importance of a strong and positive work ethic. I continued to gain new skills while improving old ones as I moved through a wide variety of industries: retail, fast food, paid activism, energy, moving, sales, education, medical billing, and now finance. My diverse portfolio of work experience has enabled me to interact with people in all sorts of circumstances, which has prepared me well for nearly any type of interaction I may have. As a recent college graduate, I am currently sharpening my professional skill set for the long term: one day in the future, I plan to return to college, get an MBA, and start my own business.
