About Joseph Kemp

For as long as I can remember, I have worked toward the goal of being able to become a successful Chemical Engineer. Although there were times I saw my dream disappearing, I never allowed myself to give up to defeat. I always instilled in my mind that it was not an easy road and that I would have to practice and perfect anything that did not come simply to me. I am not the smartest, but my urge to not quit makes me one of the most determined to succeed. So far I have been able to overcome any obstacle that has stood in the way of my dream. During my sophomore year, I withdrew from school knowing I would be back one day. My drive has not only formed me into the leader I am now, but has also allowed me to come back and continue upon my road to victory. I have taken pride in being able to get along with all teammates in a working environment as well as showing leadership qualities. The leadership roles that I have held taught me how to manage my time as well as how to teach information to a wide range of people. A leader is able to help someone achieve understanding. I am able to explain information in a way that ensures understanding for anyone I work with. I work at a constant pace in order to ensure the completion of each task given. My college experiences have given me the opportunity to work with individuals from different backgrounds. Part of being a leader includes valuing others’ opinions as much as his or her own. This personality trait has taught me how to accept opinions given in order to reach a common goal. I believe my personality and work ethic would allow me to be an asset to the company. With my characteristics and the Company’s mission combined, I know that there is no limit to what we can achieve.
