I have a lot of experience with Solidworks from modeling, creating a drawing that is easy to read of a part or assemble, simulations of stress and strain on the part, and fluid flow of an exhaust system or how much lift a fictional aircraft would get. I have also use ANSYS Workbench for finite element analysis. I used Autodesk's AutoCAD to create a full assemble of a mechanical pencil, some architectural designs, drawings using paper space, and even 2D sketches to be imported into an old version of MasterCam. I also have machining knowledge and experience with mills and CNC mills. At college, I machined parts for a C-clamp and a vise. I've mostly only cut aluminum, common steel, and wood. I also have experience with several different 3D printers which made prototype designs and cases for several projects.
