Background

About Joseph L.

I’m a software engineer with experience building backend services, data pipelines, and cloud-based systems. I enjoy taking ideas and turning them into reliable, working solutions. My background in mechanical and materials engineering influences the way I approach software: practical, systematic, and focused on clear results.I’ve worked with Java, Python, and JavaScript across a range of environments, including financial applications, microservices, and public-facing web platforms. Recent projects include migrating a legacy monolith to Spring Boot services, improving dashboard performance using GCP/BigQuery, and helping maintain system stability through an organizational transition.Outside of work, I like creating small technical projects that let me explore new tools and stay hands-on with development.I’m interested in roles where I can contribute as a practical, implementation-focused engineer and continue building reliable systems with real impact.
