About Joseph Majak

Joseph Cirilo Deng Majak is a seasoned public health and humanitarian professional with over 12 years of experience leading impactful health programs across Africa and the Middle East. He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a Master’s in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid from the Kalu Institute, and is currently pursuing a second Master’s in Sexual and Reproductive Health Policy and Programming at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) on a part-time basis. Joseph has led health systems strengthening, emergency response, maternal and child health, SRH, family planning, immunization, and IPC programs across fragile and conflict-affected contexts. He has collaborated with major donors and international partners including UNFPA, USAID, UNICEF, ECHO, WFP, FAO, DFID, and SIDA, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and impact. His leadership roles with organizations such as Médecins du Monde, ALIMA, and Un Ponte Per have demonstrated his ability to manage cross-functional teams, develop country strategies, and coordinate multi-agency responses in complex settings. Joseph is currently preparing to relocate to the Netherlands on 13 July 2025 under the Orientation Year Visa for Highly Educated Persons, which allows him to live and work in the Netherlands without the need for employer sponsorship. He is fully open to relocation and new career opportunities in public health, humanitarian operations, global health strategy, or development programming across the Netherlands and Europe.
