About Joseph May

Joseph is a bright and analytical Development Analyst of the international financial firm Barings Asset Management. He finished studying an undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of the West of England, where he achieved a 2:1 final mark. Through the time at university there was valuable experience gained in various research methods, whilst utilising the time management skills to co-ordinate other extra-curricular experiences. These activities were pinnacle with Captain of the University Hockey Team. He has the ability to problem solve in an efficient and concise format, having built upon the IT skills within Excel, Minitab, Maple and many others. These processes have fuelled a real aspiration to expand on these development skills. The studies at university were specialized in Financial Mathematics, Stats, Fluid Dynamics and Data Analysis. The pinnacle of this was the final year project that engineered and evaluated thousands of sets of data. My training at FDM coupled with my strong academics and diverse professional background qualifies me to problem-solve and face the challenges encountered in any position.
