About Joseph McCallig

I started working at JM Welding as a teenager, sweeping the shop whenever I got a break from school. As I got older, whenever I could I would come in and help fabricate instead. I would spend my summer and winter breaks cutting, grinding, and drilling steel. Doing this as a young man taught me the importance of hard work and how keeping yourself focused actually makes your work life easier. I found that staying on task and getting the job done makes work more enjoyable as to waiting for the hours to pass by. I was 20 when I took on the full time role of estimator and quickly adapted to the new job. In my first year at the company I brought in a significant number of awarded projects and have continued production since. Our company performs local union and non union steel fabrication and erection, along with fabrication and delivery to sites across the country. I take pride in performing a quality takeoff and winning a bud because not only does it showcase my ability as an estimator, but it sets the company up for success.
