About Joseph McCormack

I am currently working as a Showroom Manager for Simply for Strings, a retail store for orchestral string instruments. I have also been completing freelance audio engineering and photography projects when the opportunities present themselves to expand my portfolio. I graduated from QUT, with degrees in music and entertainment industries and completed an exchange at Korea University in Seoul. My time in Seoul allowed me to learn more about the history and culture behind K-pop and the broader Korean entertainment industry, giving me a deeper grasp of this quickly expanding sector. As an audio engineer and producer, I have been involved in a range of positions, including working with Vermillion Records - a student-run record label for local Brisbane artists – and its various projects. My experience has enabled me to gain an in-depth knowledge of the local Brisbane music scene, as well as more niche genres such as folk and classical through my work at Simply for Strings. I’m proud of my adaptability within the field, having worked with artists across a wide range of genres and am always looking to learn more.
