About Joseph McGee

I am a Civil Engineer with 9 years of postgraduate experience in the Irish and UK industry. Over the past 5 years, I have been with Egis, where I was promoted to Design Engineer in June 2024 from my previous role as a CAD Technician. Recently, I Joined the Drainage team, where I contribute to designing pre-earthworks drainage, drainage networks modelling, surface water channel, and associated outlet sizing. I also contribute to Civil 3D and getting familiar with TII Publications, the SUDS Manual, and HEWRAT assessments. Additionally, I am gaining more knowledge of attenuation systems and their sizing. In 2024, I completed feasibility study reports for the Wastewater Pump Station upgrade programme Northwest & East Midlands with Uisce Éireann. I hold a BEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering from ATU Galway and am currently completing a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering Practices. I am also a member of Engineers Ireland, which underscores my commitment to professional development and industry standards. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in various locations including Mayo, Galway, Aberdeen, and Dublin. My experience spans across public, private contracting, and consulting sectors, giving me a well-rounded perspective on the industry.
