About Joseph McMahon

I am the Founding Lawyer at By The Rules Conveyancing and work with a team of experienced Conveyancers, as well as our Office Management, Marketing and Administration departments. I practised as a Barrister from 1987 and as a solicitor since 1993, and hold Commercial and Common Law experience in the Supreme Courts of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the High Court of Australia. I have held teaching posts at Cussons Institute of Law and Queens College Melbourne. I am also admitted to practice in the Republic of Ireland and gained a second degree of Barrister at Law, Kings Inns Since 2011 I have dealt almost exclusively in conveyancing and property matters, commercial, and business with a heavy emphasis on property transactions, mortgage documentation and best business practices. The firm specialises in high volume precision legal and compliance work. Previous to this, substantial practice associated with the issues of personal and corporate solvency. Capital raising, complying Offer Memorandums and solid knowledge of lending practices in respect of mortgage backed loans. Advising domestic and overseas companies in respect of compliance issues under the Corporations Law. Advising Directors and Company officers as to ASIC rules and the Corporations law and their obligations thereunder. Developed a high volume transactionally based practice in Queensland.
