I started TEN31 with a nearly life-long friend, Eric Auger over 24years ago. It all began with the living Gargoyles, TEN31’s first creation. It was on the banks of the Providence River during a Waterfire, when the founders of TEN31: Eric Auger and myself performed as two captivating stone Gargoyles. The response internally for us was an simultaneous eureka moment! It was the beginning of a new dream. Externally, the response from the audience was just as powerful. From that moment, a company grew from the idea that art can be brought to life and provide emotionally inspiring entertainment. TEN31 is deeply dedicated to creating high quality artistic living statues, human botanicals and costumed rovers (a.k.a. roving entertainment) all performed by trained artists dressed in elaborate costumes. TEN31’s collection of costumes and offerings have truly blossomed and transformed. Our installations range in size from one performer to dozens. There is virtually an endless array of combinations within our collection of statues, trees, topiaries and so much more… all performed by our talented staff. TEN31 draws its name and inspiration from the spirit of Halloween and the idea of transforming oneself. As artists, we use the human form as our canvas. Designing detailed costumes and characters based on historic and mythological references, we draw inspiration from exploring the ancient periods and more modern times such as art deco and futurist styles. We take pride in producing custom handcrafted works of art with a promise to be committed to the highest artistic and professional standards. We have been honored to perform for many of America’s top corporate firms and prestigious social events throughout the United States and abroad worldwide. It is our passion to produce entertainment that is art. It is our hope, through our artwork, that events are transformed into unforgettable experiences, bringing people closer to the beauty in life.
